New VIS productions will span multiple genres, including documentaries, streaming movies and premium series. Studios also unveils new Brand Identity
On the occasion of the Virtual NATPE Miami 2021, ViacomCBS International Studios (VIS) – the division of ViacomCBS Networks International dedicated to the distribution and production of content of all genres, both for proprietary brands and platforms and for third parties – has announced the pipeline of upcoming productions. VIS confirms its business development strategy with a renewed global commitment to the production of various formats: documentaries, films designed for streaming and additional content developed by VIS KIDS, which will start operations in 2021.
ViacomCBS International Studios consolidate their centrality in the broader framework of the Group’s industrial approach, which renews its commitment to invest in the creation of quality content as a strategic lever to generate value on all platforms.
In this overall design, Italy continues to represent a reservoir of creativity – from which to develop culturally and geographically distinctive productions – and a space of opportunity for local investment in original, scripted and unscripted projects.
“VIS’s platform of new productions clearly exemplifies the breadth and depth of global stories and voices we intend to bring to our partners and viewers,” – comments JC Acosta, President of ViacomCBS International Studios and Networks Americas – “We are continuing and strengthening our collaboration with the most talented and accomplished content creators around the world. We can’t wait for these stories to come to life and into the homes of a truly international audience.”
Upcoming projects include a wide variety of genres, from documentary to comedy, thriller to horror, drama to light-hearted series to content for children and teens. Productions will span multiple geographies and will be conducted in collaboration with experienced international partners.
