GREAT SUCCESS FOR THE ONLINE EDITION OF TOYS MILAN

29 Jun - 2020

With 112 participating companies with 350 brands and 2,615 visits, the “special” edition of Toys Milano, the B2B exhibition dedicated to the toy and early childhood market, ends with great success

It ended on 25 June Toysmilano.plus, the online event created by Salone Internazionale del Giocattolo  in close collaboration with Assogiocattoli to provide concrete help to companies and buyers even in the absence of the usual annual physical edition of Toys Milano cancelled due to the health emergency: a live trade fair event that has been transformed into an all-digital version operational for a whole month, accessible at any time and comfortably by all players in the toy sector, early childhood and beyond.

From 25 May to 25 June, in fact, 112 companies with their 350 brands presented to over 2,234 buyers unique visitors – who collected 2,615 hits (23% from abroad) on 34,403 pages visited – their top products on the Toysmilano.plus platform in view of the Christmas market, with proposals from the world of games and toys, but also stationery, carnival, decorations, parties and early childhood, thanks to the dedicated section Bay-B. Like the previous live editions at the fair, this special digital edition has been enhanced by an entire section called Get Inspired, an ad hoc area where the Salone Internazionale del Giocattolo, in collaboration with its main partners.

We are really very satisfied with this result – says Gianfranco Ranieri, President of the International Toy Fair – This confirms how positive our decision not to give up the event completely. In fact, it was of primary importance for us to give a sign of confidence to a market that, like many others, has suffered a severe blow due to the restrictions imposed by the Covid 19 emergency. We were really pleased to see the companies involved making full use of the multimedia tool we created and even more so to see how buyers felt comfortable doing their job in the best possible way. However, at the same time, it is good to remember that we are already working to return to the traditional live version in 2021 with the usual meetings and handshakes
