Graphilm Entertainment partners with ETS Licensing for Nefertine on the Nile
Animation studio Graphilm Entertainment announces deal with ETS Licensing. ETS, one of the main independent licensing agencies in Italy, will manage the rights of the new animated preschool series Nefertine on the Nile.
The series consists of 52 episodes, running 11’ each , and is based on the series of books “All’ombra delle piramidi” by Janna Carioli and Luisa Mattia published by Lapis Edizioni. Produced by Graphilm Entertainment, DQ Entertainment and Cyber Group Studios, in cooperation with Rai Ragazzi, the first season will be broadcast on the Italian preschool channel Rai Yoyo.
Set in Ancient Egypt, Nefertine on the Nile narrates the adventures of the 8 year old Nefertine. The brave little girl, daughter of the Pharaoh’s scribe, aspires to become the first scribe-reporter in history. To train her unique talent, she reports her chronicles on her papir-diary. Curious and somewhat reckless, she cannot resist the mysterious charm of things like mummies, pyramids, sphinxes and crocodiles. Every now and then the situation gets out of hand! Luckily her friends and the trusted kitten Micerina are always by her side, helping her to get out of trouble!
The pilot of the series was awarded with the Pulcinella Award at the Cartoons on the Bay 2015. Nefertine has shown great potential from her first steps in the children’s industry, attracting interest from major international players.
