YOTTOY debuts inspiring collection of toys based on the Beloved Busy World of Richard Scarry Books
It’s a silver anniversary celebration! YOTTOY, the NYC-based company that has been home to top-quality toys for some of the most beloved book-based brands for 25 years, is celebrating its silver anniversary with a range of exciting new offerings, including the debut toy assortment inspired by multi-generational favorite, The Busy World of Richard Scarry, along with new characters from the beloved Little Golden Books series. This year, YOTTOY is also marking big milestones for several properties in its “toy box,” including the 75th anniversary of Spotty Bunny, 65th anniversary of Eloise and 50th anniversary of Frog & Toad. YOTTOY presented showcase its latest assortment of beautifully-designed and richly-detailed toys at 2020 Toy Fair New York, February 22-25, 2020, Javits Convention Center, Booth #6034.

A universal favorite among the preschool set since 1951, Richard Scarry’s 300+ books have sold more than 100 million copies worldwide. YOTTOY’s offerings capture the characters from the colorful world of Busytown in fresh new ways with luscious fabrics and standout features such as wooden wheels and clear plastic headlights for more “go go go” appeal. The initial line, available beginning this summer, includes:
- Huckle Cat in Blue Car – Prominently popular in Busytown, Huckle Cat Soft Toy is made of soft snow-white plush with orange accents and dressed in a bright yellow shirt, grey pants, and red suspenders. True to Scarry’s original illustrations, Huckle Cat’s eager embroidered face and perked-up ears show he’s ready for a fun-filled day. - Lowly Worm in Red Apple Car – Every inch of Richard Scarry’s beloved Lowly Worm is special in the busy world of youngsters. Lowly Worm Soft Toy stands 7.5” tall and is dressed in his rich blue and green outfit, red sneaker, bowtie, and green alpine hat with yellow grosgrain trim. Lowly Worm fits snuggly inside his apple-shaped car, made of soft red plush with orange tricot interior For a busy worm with places to go, Lowly’s Apple Car has headlights and working wooden wheels to roll into new discoveries. Also new this year are two additions to YOTTOY’s heartwarming Little Golden Books soft toy collection, bringing together the most popular classic characters illustrated by Gustaf Tenggren and Tibor Gergely with spirited, new personalities illustrated by Joey Chou. Available starting this summer are:
