ADVENTURES OF ZEZE ZEBRA BEING SHOWN AT KIDSCREEN

19 Feb - 2020

Keyframe Studios and Beyond Distribution, presented the series one of Zeze Zebra at the Kidscreen Summit in Miami

Keyframe Studios has announced that Beyond Distribution, its recently appointed sales and distribution partner for the Adventures of Zeze Zebra, will be promoting series one (20 x 2’) and premiered a new five-minute format at last week’s Kidscreen Summit in Miami.

Beyond has already secured a number of offers for Zeze Zebra’s two-minute format, which it presented to potential broadcast and platform partners at Kidscreen. It also showed a new longer format version of Zeze Zebra, which is now under development at Keyframe Studios in London, to give broadcasters a preview of future plans for this engaging and delightful new CGI series aimed at children aged 2-4 years.

Each episode of Zeze Zebra features a well-loved children’s nursery rhyme led by the delightful Zeze and her colourful fun friends – a hippo, a flamingo, a sheep, a rhino and Zeze’s Grandpa – with an individual and engaging narrative behind every episode, combining education and activity.

The five-minute format builds on children’s engagement with Zeze and her friends, utilising the popular two-minute nursery rhyme and developing a longer narrative before and after the rhyme with appealing storylines based on the charming adventures of Zeze Zebra and her group of friends.

Respected children’s writer James Walsh, who can count Hey Duggee and Denis and Gnasher among his writing credits, has worked with Keyframe to develop scripts that incorporate and articulate simple concepts relating to the natural world, numbers, shapes and colours in this longer format.

Zeze Zebra debuted at MIPCOM, where the response to this bright, colourful and superbly designed show was a positive one, with early sales to BT Kids, Hopster, Kidoodle and Ketchup. More sales are about to be announced. The Adventures of Zeze Zebra launched on Hop in Israel in November, went live on the Kidoodle platform in early December and as of January is on KetchupTV.

With a growing base of productions and clients, Keyframe Studios boasts an exceptional and varied body of work, including animation for a wide range of kids’ properties. Keyframe is also the animation studio behind the game content in the acclaimed E4 adult comedy Series Dead Pixels, and has a fast-growing number of standalone series, either in development or in production.

Asa Movshovitz, Founder & Animation Director, Keyframe, says: “Kidscreen is an essential show for any company that wants to build on the success of a broadcast property and Beyond, as a leading independent distributor of content, is the ideal partner to capitalise on opportunities for Zeze and show our work in Miami. We’re confident of a strong response to Zeze at Kidscreen.
