Disney is bringing forward to March 24 the launch of the Disney+ streaming service in several European countries

The Direct-to-Consumer & International sector of The Walt Disney Company has scheduled the launch of Disney+ in Western Europe for March 24, 2020. The price of the service will be €6.99 per month/€69.99 per year (£5.99 month/£59.99 per year in the UK).

The streaming service will be launched in Italy, United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Germany, Spain, Austria and Switzerland. The launch in other European countries, such Belgium, Scandinavia and Portugal will take place later in summer 2020.

Disney+ offers viewers of all ages a new way to enjoy unparalleled content from iconic entertainment brands such as Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic, along with exclusive content such as films, TV series, documentaries and shorts produced specifically for the new service.

At launch, subscribers will have access to “The Mandalorian” the critically acclaimed series written and produced by Jon Favreau; “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series”, a modern and creative version of the successful franchise with meta-references, a new documentary style and a soundtrack that, with 9 new original songs, pays homage to the film of the same name; “The World According To Jeff Goldblum”, a series that explores the wonderful and often surprising world of objects most familiar to us; “Lilli and the Tramp”, a timeless reinterpretation of the 1955 animation classic. Other original titles available at launch include “Encore,” produced by Kristen Bell; “Diary of A Future President” written and produced by Ilana Peña (“Crazy Ex-Girlfriend”) and Gina Rodriguez (“Jane the Virgin”); “The Imagineering Story,” which tells of the eclectic group of extraordinary creatives who bring the Disney Parks to life.

You can experience Disney+ on most connected mobile devices, including gaming consoles, media players and smart TVs. They will have access to 4 simultaneous streams in high quality and without commercial interruption. The number of downloads will be unlimited and on up to ten devices. Users will also be able to benefit from personalized suggestions and will have the possibility to set up up to seven different profiles. It will also be possible to set up profiles for children with an easy-to-navigate interface and access to age-appropriate content.
