Introducing whimsical unicorn coloring book that will boost confidence in tweens
JESS VOLINSKI, best-selling book illustrator and designer known for her vibrant and colorful Notebook Doodles coloring books, is releasing a highly-anticipated coloring book for tweens called Unicorns: Notebook Doodles Coloring & Activity Books. Notebook Doodles is the brainchild of Volinski who has created dozens of books with Design Originals, an imprint of Fox Chapel Publishing.
Volinski wholeheartedly believes that art has the power to boost health, confidence, and your mood, especially for tweens. In fact, the art she creates for coloring books is purposely illustrated to boost self-esteem in young children, especially girls. “Above all else my work is happy, colorful, and fun,” says Volinski. “If even one doodle I’ve made makes a child feel better about themselves, then I’m doing my job!” Having a little girl herself, Volinski knows the importance that positive words can have on a developing mind. “Expressing oneself through coloring and art helps build internal confidence and inner strength that girls can rely on,” Volinski says.
