Launched on Crowdfundme, the crowdfunding equity campaign that flies on the wings of Business Angel, the new platform for merchandising of youtubers and influencers
The first e-commerce platform dedicated to Webstar merchandising was born, offering from graphics to customer service and the creation and distribution of clothing items and objects (t-shirts, mugs, bracelets), using advanced tools for monitoring sales and ad hoc marketing campaigns. It’s called Forstar.shop, it was launched by the innovative pmi Getapp (incubated by H-Farm) – which closed 2018 with a turnover of 1 million, doubling revenues for the third consecutive year (21 million estimated for 2023) – and to grow, in Italy and abroad, it launched an equity campaign crowdfundings on the CrowdFundMeS.p.A. platform. (the only one listed on Piazza Affari).
Forstar.shop offers digital talents a new way to monetize the visualizations and the success achieved with fans, managing their merchandise entirely and offering them a certain profit for each sale made. It has already signed exclusive licensing agreements with three of the leading talent management agencies in Italy: Divimove, Studio71 and Greaterfool and numerous youtubers and influencers, including “Chefaticalavitadabomber” and “Space Valley”, and has gained the trust of Italian institutional investors, such as H-Farm and Boost Heroes, and international Business Angels who have fuelled – and are fuelling – its capital.
The platform has a flexible management and low fixed costs, thanks to the outsourcing of the production phases that allows to operate in a dynamic and profitable way, without suffering negative economic situations and debts, which the company has never needed.
In addition to ForStar.shop, Getapp owns two other successful technologies: Teeser, a platform that allows designers and micro-influencers to sell customized products and that now has over 400,000 registered users (one of the largest communities in Italy) and BuddyPrinter.com, a B2B service dedicated to the customization of products for companies (for example gadgets with the company logo).
Pmi is also very attentive to sustainability issues, to which it has dedicated specific collections of its catalogue for Webstar and the safety of the materials used: to this end, year after year, the percentage of goods sold with Bio and Fair Trade certificates is increasing.
The two-month crowdfunding equity campaign, with an initial target of 150,000 euros, aims to support the growth of the company Getapp as a whole, with a particular focus on the new driving model of ForStar.shop. The funds raised will be used to expand the range of products for Webstars (today the catalogue offers a defined number of items and this limits the opportunities for increasing sales, as well as the commercial capabilities of the company), improve and strengthen the software (with advanced sales reports and a management, where the character can have all the necessary tools to optimize their sales), increase talent scouting activities (through investment in staff and participation in dedicated trade fairs) and start the process of internationalization, starting from France and Germany and contracts already in place with agencies.
