Walker Books and BOO announce a new collection of gold and diamond rings for autumn and winter

Walker Books, the world’s leading wholly independent publisher of English-language children’s books, along with its sister companies Candlewick Press in the US and Walker Books Australia, has announced a number of new launches for Guess How Much I Love You from BOO contemporary jewellery.

The tale of Little Nutbrown Hare and Big Nutbrown Hare expressing how much they love each other is not only the perfect licensed brand for children but has inspired BOO contemporary jewellery to build on its existing range of beautiful silver jewellery and keepsakes with a new gold and diamond collection of rings.

A moon-shaped diamond ring will be launched this autumn, followed by a diamond-set wedding band in the new year in time for Valentine’s Day. A co-ordinated wedding band to compliment the diamond ring as well as plain wedding bands for both men and women, are to be launched in spring 2020.

This special collection will include:

  • A gold ring with a diamond setting engraved with ‘I love you to the moon and back’
  • A gold wedding band with diamond setting of the client’s choice, engraved with ‘I love you to the moon and back’
  • The perfect co-ordinated wedding band to wrap around the Guess How Much I Love You diamond ring and engraved with ‘I love you to the moon and back’
  • Plain bands for him or her to suit any occasion and engraved with ‘I love you to the moon and back’

All rings are available in gold, white gold or platinum and with various-sized diamonds and engravings.

All Guess How Much I Love You rings by Boo are handmade in Birmingham’s historic jewellery quarter and will be hallmarked.

The entire Guess How Much I Love You jewellery collection is available online at www.guesshowmuchiloveyoujewellery.com and at BOO contemporary jewellery in Olney in Buckinghamshire. Also available is the original BOO Guess How Much I love You silver jewellery range, including mini-characters, charm bracelets, necklaces, cuffs, bands and rings, all inspired by the images and messages in the book.

Designer BOO, says: “We originally created the Guess How Much I Love You range as a way for people to express their love for one another through precious keepsakes and jewellery for 18th birthdays, engagements and other very special occasions. The success of the initial silver range has now inspired us to create a very special collection of wedding rings and bands for those adults who loved this book being read to them as a child – and for whom it continues to evoke that very special connection.”

Pindy O’Brien, Licensing & Retail Development Director, Key Franchises, Walker Books says: “The success of this much-loved property in the adult jewellery market is a tribute to its memorable design and simple, affectionate message, both of which have inspired this wonderful range from an admired contemporary jewellery brand.”

Guess How Much I Love You has been a much-beloved book for many generations of pre-school children, parents, parents-to-be, and grandparents, for whom it has been a story time staple since its publication in 1994. It also enjoys strong popularity among adults as a reading or a sentiment expressed on special occasions such as Valentine’s Day and weddings, as well as for romantic messages to partners.

The appeal of the book is both light-hearted and deeply felt, with simple but memorable illustrations; this makes the adult market one with growing potential, most obviously in jewellery and gifting, but also in personal care, housewares and kitchen textiles. There are also gifting opportunities in ceramics.
