KID-E-CATS BRAND EXPOSURE IN CHINA

CTC Media presented its own animated series at a key industrial event in the Chinese licensing market – Licensing Expo China 2019 in Shanghai the last week of July

The KID-E-CATS brand exposure as a franchise in China at the Licensing Expo 2019, the biggest licensing b2b event in the market, which took place on 24-26 of July 2019 in Shanghai.

CTC Media together with their exclusive agent in China, Beijing JOY Culture Media, launched the brand with a vibrant stand at the expo. Afterwards the franchise was massively presented to key market players such as Anhui Children Press, Dongguan Huawang Industrial, Dongguan Boli Industrial, Gudi Hong Kong Holding, Hebei Yida Food Company, Yucheng International, Youku, Baby Bus, BangBao Co. Ltd, Shenzhen Leier Toy company at the conference in the Intercontinental Hotel Shanghai. At the event, five licensing & merchandising contracts were signed with local licensees. Toys, books and infant apparel are expected to hit the shelves by the end of 2019 in China.

KID-E-CATS season 1 launched in December 2018 on 8 digital platforms including Tencent video, IQIYI and Youku, followed by season 2 in May 2019 on over 12 digital platforms simultaneously including Tencent video, IQIYI, Youku, Xiaomi, New TV, provincial IPTV and DTV platforms. The series was warmly received by the audience and hit 1 billion views.

Ongoing online marketing campaigns continue on WeChat, Tik Tok, Xigua and Himalaya app.
