A totally new project with three exceptional actors for a children’s collection from 5 to 12 years old dedicated to the world’s most famous fashion doll
Barbie never ceases to surprise and in the year of its 60th anniversary, announces a new and important fashion collaboration: Mattel, Original Marines and Filippo Laterza, the new enfant prodige of Italian haute couture, together for a limited edition Barbie capsule for the first time entirely dedicated to girls.
A tribute to the most famous fashion doll in the world, which has inspired the career of the fashion designer since childhood and that just on the occasion of the anniversary of Barbie, signs the special capsules Original Marines, coming next fall.
Filippo Laterza: “It was a great emotion for me when Mattel asked me to try my hand at a capsule collection for the 60th anniversary of Barbie, I immediately took up the challenge of creating a collection that can talk about my vision of the icon that has inspired girls for 60 years and beyond. Barbie was my first approach to fashion when I was a little boy and I used to make clothes for her and now I finally have the chance to dream with Barbie, just like I did when I was a little boy“.
Always close to the world of fashion, fashion icon and more, Barbie inspires girls to be what they want since 1959.
In the collection Filippo Laterza expresses his creativity also through the choice of combining the iconic pink Barbie to the mauve color, the color identifying her label, as well as color that represents creativity.
The Barbie by Filippo Laterza capsule collection bears the name Original Marines, the first brand of reference in the universe of kids. Original Marines believes in developing special projects with strategic partners because they represent another way to communicate the brand’s view and reach the target audience.
The project, in addition to underlining Original Marines‘ expertise and attention to the world of children, pays tribute to an undisputed icon of our times with exclusive garments designed by Filippo Laterza and developed within the Fall 2019 collection.
The Barbie by Filippo Laterza capsule for Original Marines will be unveiled and on sale in September.
For the first time, thanks to Barbie and Original Marines, girls will have the opportunity to wear garments designed by an authentic high fashion fashion designer like Filippo Laterza!
