On the Top Floor of the Main Pavilion, a platform for all expressions of experimental kidswear.
A regular research house, a universe that is both complex and compact entirely dedicated to creativity and innovation in childrenswear. The great innovation of Pitti Immagine Bimbo 89 (20 – 22 June 2019) is The Kid’s Lab!: located inside a new concept, wide ranging, colorful layout, the Top Floor of the Main Pavilion – the main quarter of the fair – will welcome, for the first time, all the various definitions of experimental kids’ fashion.
The Kid’s Lab! will be the new natural habitat for the brands in the KidzFIZZ, #ACTIVELAB, The Nest, EcoEthic and Kid’s Evolution sections. A unique stage for the concept lab featuring the experimentation of KidzFIZZ, the athletic-metropolitan dimension of #ACTIVELAB, the hotbed of budding brands in The Nest, the banner of sustainability flown by EcoEthic and the mini capsule collections of Kid’s Evolution. Thanks to the concept devised by Storage Milano – the architectural and design studio that works with all the important names in fashion and beyond – each of these sections will be able to express their own distinctive DNA and, at the same time, dialogue with the other worlds of fashion research.
The Top Floor of the Main Pavilion will also be hosting the two Pitti Bimbo projects dedicated to children’s illustration and publishing, The Extraordinary Library and OFF the PAGE…And into the World of Fashion. And more, for the first time the research planet will include a series of open communal spaces for exhibitions, editorial projects and events that will involve buyers, press and influencers.
Among the special participations at this edition: Chopard Italia presents an exclusive preview of the project in support of the Andrea Bocelli Foundation connected to the reconstruction of the school in Muccia, in the province of Macerata, that was hit hard by the 2016 earthquake. For the first time in Italy the exhibition “Una famiglia, tutti I colori” by the New York photographer Tom Watson for the Association Mamme per la Pelle; the special area signed by MILK MAGAZINE; the space dedicated to project The Playful Living together with Style Piccoli; and the presentation of the book “Craft the Seasons: 100 Creations” by the famous French designer and illustrator Nathalie Lété.
