The fiction Jams and two cartoons win at Cartoons on the Bay.

Three prizes Pulcinella, the international competition of the festival of cross-media animation and TV of the kids Cartoons on the Bay which closed yesterday in Turin, went to as many series co-produced by Rai Ragazzi.

For the international jury, the best children’s series of the year is Jams, the Rai Gulp series that deals with the issue of child molestation.
Jams, a series of 10 episodes co-produced by Rai Ragazzi and Stand by Me, is the first European series for kids that talks about child molestation. The series, created with the support of a team of specialists, is dedicated to girls and boys aged 9-13, to help them understand intellectual and sexual problems, to detect when something is not as it should be, to overcome shame and loneliness and ask for help from friends and adults. Through the story of Joy, an 11-year-old girl and her group of first-class friends, Alice, Max and Stefano, the series involves, informs, sensitizes about a dramatic subject but with a story full of emotions, humour, friendship and music. The acronym “A moment of you” is interpreted by Ruggero Pasquarelli, a very talented young boy. Guest star, chef Alessandro Borghese in the role of himself.
Having recently been successfully broadcast on Rai Gulp, Jams opened an awareness campaign (official #MeglioParlarne hashtag) that continues with replicas, on social media and in schools. The next stages of the road tour in collaboration with the Miur will be April 29th in Naples, May 6th in Rome and September 7th in Florence.
The animated series Gigantosaurus, which we will see on Rai Yoyo, has instead won the Pulcinella as the best preschool series. Developed in 2D and CGI by the French studio Cyber Group for the Disney Channel and for Rai Yoyo, it sees the adventures of four young dinosaur friends that grow in the Cretaceous period among new volcanoes that constantly sprout, brachiosaurs and huge triceratops that roam free, rains of meteorites and a big bad Gigantosaurus that reigns over everything.

The series produced by Blue Spirit Productions in collaboration with Rai Ragazzi, won the Award for best children’s series.
