Panini announces new strategic partnerships for merchandising

15 Apr - 2019

The new year has started in full swing around the Panini brand as new licensees have been signed in different product categories and services across Europe and Latin America.

The licensing out unit of the Modena-based sticker and trading card international company reported Panini will team up with UK based BIOWORLD INTERNATIONAL LTD. for a multi-territory deal covering apparel and accessories to hit stores in Spring 2020. Bioworld is the Pop-Culture product expert, specialized in licensed apparel, sleepwear, headwear, bags and accessories.

Panini t-shirts, sweaters and socks will be also the core product of COPA FOOTBALL, the Dutch clothing company famous for its nostalgic and high end football garments made in Europe. Panini has signed with COPA FOTBALL an international licensing agreement that will see products being sold through Copa own outlets, in-shop corners and online shop.

Stay tuned for market launches!

It is in production the first Panini Official Football by Mondo S.p.A., the official soccer ball licensee of Panini. A second ball, branded ADRENALYN XL, is currently in development. Product launch is scheduled for Summer 2019.

News from Colombia.

Panini has appointed KOPA LICENSING as its licensing agent to represent the brand in Latin America. KOPA LICENSING is set to open up Colombia, Mexico, Perù and Chile to brand licensing opportunities.

Together with Europe and North America, the whole Latin American territories are a real stronghold for Panini, where the company has millions of fans throughout the continent. After developing and structuring brand licensing activities in Europe, it was for us a natural step to take the one to bring our brand into countries where the awareness around Panini is huge and passionate. We are eager to start our business relationship with the KOPA LICENSING team.” Says Tony Verdini, Senior Manager at Panini S.p.A.

“Fútbol and Panini are synonyms in Latin America and the times ahead couldn’t be more exciting for the fans; with the Euro 2020 next year, the qualifying for Qatar coming right after and then the World Cup in 2022. It is such a thrill to be working next to Panini and we look forward to delivering a licensing program that captures people’s passion for the sport.” Says Carlos Carvajal, Licensing Director at KOPA Licensing.
