A great Rainbow project to enhance the values of Made in Italy, in collaboration with CILAB – POLITECNICO DI MILANO.
Design meets the world of magic with the Winx. The trendiest fairies in the universe, Rainbow’s flagship of Made in Italy, land at Milan Design Week 2019, thanks to the project “WINX LIFESTYLE MAGIC AND DESIGN”, fruit of a prestigious collaboration between the global content company of Iginio Straffi and CILAB – Creative Industries Lab of the Design Department of the Politecnico di Milano.
The ambitious project, which is part of the celebrations of Winx Club’s 15th anniversary, involved students who analysed the personalities, style and distinctive traits of each of the six heroines, reinterpreting them in real and innovative lifestyle concepts, full of magic.
The six projects, presented at the Milan Design Week, are real emotional exhibition spaces inspired by the world of fairies told through furnishings, accessories and unique graphics that will be able to immerse the visitor in the Winx universe, a classic icon from the potentially endless applications.
The project was attended by 60 students from the Final Synthesis Laboratory of the Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Product Design who, supported by the lecturers, developed proposals according to a brief defined by Rainbow and CILAB. The students with the best suggestions were then encouraged by a selected panel of Italian companies with which they finalised the projects and built the prototypes taking into consideration the materials, technologies and product categories of each. The close collaboration between CILAB and the companies involved (CMC2.0, Piva Group, WallPepper®, Digital Mosaic, FCA SNC, LC Forniture Industriali, GrifalSpA, On light PF, Specchiopiuma, Kose & ISI Milan, EDG Enzo De Gasperi, TaborGlit), leading exponents in their reference sectors, has allowed young designers to confront and mature professionally in a unique field training activity. It allowed companies to get involved in an innovative project in which to exploit your potential.
The inauguration event will take place on the Bovisa campus of the Politecnico di Milano on April 10th, and the exhibit will be open for the duration of the Milan Design Week 2019, from 9th to 14th April.
In parallel with the exhibition, Rainbow and CILAB will coordinate meetings, round tables, speeches and other initiatives to tell the Made in Italy success values of the companies involved.
The Winx are a world-wide reality made up of Italian goals. Bloom, Stella, Flora, Musa, Tecna and Aisha continue to be a source of inspiration for stories and products that have never been seen before, and “WINX LIFESTYLE MAGIC AND DESIGN” is the new project that sees our fairies as the undisputed protagonists of this 2019.
