Smiley is strengthening its team with the hire of a new VP in Germany

Romina Ivanisevic will head up business development in GAS, (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) further looking to increase Smileys global presence.

I am really happy to have Romina as part of the Smiley team. After continuous successful years for us in German-speaking countries, with over 40 well-established local partnerships including Santex, Herlitz, BSB Opbacher and Nici, we felt it was time to have a local presence with significant market expertise to focus on nurturing our retail relationships and signing key new partners” said Smiley’s CEO Nicolas Loufrani.

Prior to joining Smiley, Ivanisevic had previously been Commercial Director for CPLG, with over four years’ experience of leading key German licensing activities. This included the re-launch of Pink Panther into the German market, the Minions license program from 2015 to 2017 as well as introducing the fashion brand Cherokee with a full lifestyle program to the German grocery chain Lidl.

Ivanisevic said, “I’m excited to join this wonderful team and to help to further grow Smiley’s footprint in Northern Europe. It’s a remarkably versatile lifestyle brand that inherits happiness like no other and can be called one of the first classics of our digital era.”
