Announced the Jury of the Bologna Licensing Awards

The winners of the Third Bologna Licensing Awards will be decided by a jury of industry experts, composed as follows: Bettina Koeckler, CEO of The DealFactory; Luca Raffaelli, journalist, scriptwriter and expert in comics and animation; Daniela Fujani, co-founder of Tips Ricerche; Massimo Bruno, Director of Tv Channels – De Agostini Editore; Rebecca Ash, Editor of Total Licensing.

Following the success of last year and on the occasion of the 12th edition of the Bologna Licensing Trade Fair, BolognaFiere reconfirms the Bologna Licensing Award for the third year, the only Award for the Licensing Industry. This is a recognition aimed at the best licensing project developed during the previous year (2018) and which covers the PRE-SCHOOL, KIDS, TEEN and ADULT targets, as well as special mentions for Retail, Fashion and the Best Property of the Year. News for 2019: two awards for the Promotion category.

This year’s awards are decided by a high-level jury that is transversal to the rich licensing industry, ranging from publishing to sector research, to entertainment. Below are the names and profiles of the five experts who will select the prizes of the Bologna Licensing Award 2019.

Bettina Koeckler, CEO of The DealFactory

Bettina is a senior executive with over 24 years of experience in the entertainment industry. Throughout his career, Bettina assisted creators and holders of intellectual property with regard to commercial strategies and their implementation. Bettina held management positions at Sony Pictures Entertainment, 20th Century Fox and ProSiebenSAT1 until she founded The DealFactory, a consulting firm for the marketing of new and emerging IPs.


Luca Raffaelli, journalist, essayist and scriptwriter expert in comics and animation

He has always worked in the field of comics and animated films, organizing, inventing and directing magazines, writing subjects and screenplays and collaborating in magazines and newspapers. He also worked extensively for theater and television, as a director, author or presenter. In 2019 he coordinated the “Cinema and Comics” exhibition for the Turin Film Museum.


Daniela Fujani, co-founder of Tips Ricerche

In 2005 she founded Tips Ricerche, a research institute specializing in Kids, Teens and Family targets, whose main area of research are Media / New Media and Main Stream Communication. She participated in more than one edition of Cartoons On The Bay, a festival of cross-media animation, as an expert on kids issues and conducted specific in-depth workshops on the peculiarities of the young target with important specialized companies.


Massimo Bruno Director of Tv Channels – De Agostini Editore

Massimo Bruno is Director of Tv Channels of De Agostini Editore in Italy, where he manages also Alpha, DeAKids and DeAJunior channels, as well as FTA Super!, a joint venture channel with Viacom International Media Networks Italy. Before joining De Agostini he was part of the team that launched Nickelodeon Italia, first as a Channel Director and then as Head of Editorial for all Nickelodeon channels in Southern Europe.


Rebecca Ash, Editor of Total Licensing

Rebecca Ash has been Editor at Total Licensing for over ten years. In addition to the main magazine, which is read by 84,000 people in 104 countries, Total Licensing also publishes in the Art and Brand sectors, as well as a specialized magazine in Australia.
