JimmyPaul and Difuzed feature Cookie Monster, Elmo and friends in new fashion line.

Bulldog Licensing, one of the UK’s leading licensing agencies, which represents Sesame Street in the UK on behalf of non-profit organization Sesame Workshop, has brought Sesame Street to the catwalk during London Fashion Week (15 –19 February), at which over 100 businesses leading in creativity and innovation were in the spotlight.

Designer JimmyPaul, whose beautiful, lavish works of art are worn by creatives around the world, and licensed lifestyle products company Difuzed presented a Sesame Street collection at the ON|OFF LFW Show held on the 19th of February at The Store X 180 Strand.

JimmyPaul’s collection, inspired by the colourful, furry world of Sesame Street and its residents – Elmo, Cookie Monster, Big Bird, Oscar the Grouch and others – skillfully used design tools inspired by Sesame Street to present a collection that not only honoured Sesame Street’s 50 years of teaching and delighting kids all around the world, but was a celebration of show, creativity, pop culture, fashion and fun.

Difuzed, which develops lifestyle products for a wide range of gaming, entertainment, fashion, sport and consumer goods brands, will be launching a diffusion line of apparel and accessories for women based on the show.

The Sesame Street fashion parade was attended by an audience of fashion and licensing journalists, fashion experts, licensees and, of course, Sesame Street fans, who all voiced their appreciation of the show and JimmyPaul’s affectionate and amazing take on the colourful characters millions have grown up with and learned from.

Difuzed is one of the leading companies in its field in EMEA, working with many famous brands to create apparel and accessories collections featuring characters like Elmo, Oscar and Big Bird.

Always pushing the boundaries of colour, shape and texture, combined with an ultra-high sense of cuteness, JimmyPaul is a brand that investigates the border between costume and fashion. JimmyPaul looks to past, present and future pop-culture references, like Sesame Street, to create one-of-a-kind lowbrow fashion pieces, resulting in high-art fashion statements. The work of JimmyPaul has appeared in numerous fashion magazines such as Vogue, Elle and Paper Magazine, has created custom tour costumes for Kylie Minogue and Lady Gaga, and has dressed multiple additional celebrities like Kesha, Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande, Paris Hilton and Rihanna.

Sesame Street is one of the best-known and best-loved children’s brands in the world, engaging fans of all ages while delivering on its mission to help kids everywhere grow smarter, stronger and kinder.

With Sambro on board as master plush partner, and very strong sales across soft lines for both adults and kids, Bulldog is looking to expand the licensing programme further across a number of categories, including toys, gifts, accessories, homewares and stationery.

Bulldog Licensing Senior Creative Manager Sole Puerto says: “For this amazing show JimmyPaul skilfully adapted the charm, humour and colour of Sesame Street to produce a wonderful and stylish collection of outfits that took everyone’s breath away. We, and many fans of fashion and Sesame Street, are now looking forward to seeing the Difuzed line based on these fabulous creations at retail.
