Mondo TV Iberoamérica announces broadcast plans beginning from late January.
Mondo TV Iberoamérica, a division of Mondo TV, one of the largest European producers and distributors of animated content, has announced the sale to the free-to-air broadcaster Disney Channel Spain of series one (60×45’) and two (60×45’) of its live-action drama comedy for teens and tweens, Heidi Bienvenida, for a 12-month period, beginning in January 2019.
Produced by Mondo TV Iberoamerica, along with Alianzas Producciones, Heidi Bienvenida follows the adventures of a happy, carefree girl who leaves her beloved mountain home to live in the big city.
Already enjoying a strong audience response in territories as diverse as Latin America, Italy, Russia, Israel and Mauritius, Heidi Bienvenida – Mondo TV’s first ever live-action show – launches on Disney Channel Spain on 28 January. It will be broadcast from Monday to Thursday at 9:30 pm, with repeat showings at 3:30pm on the following day. It will also be available on the Disney Channel App immediately after its broadcast for seven days. There will be a major promotional campaign to support the show’s launch in Spain, on both the Disney Channel and the Disney Channel App.
This is another major breakthrough for Heidi Bienvenida, whose engaging mix of comedy, friendship, romance, music, fashion and fun has made series one a big success in a number of territories. A second series launches this year and plans for a forthcoming film have been announced. The show’s stars – including Chiara Francia, Mercedes Lambre and Victorio D’Alessandro – are now enjoying high levels of recognition – notably in Italy, where excellent ratings and live appearances by members of the cast have underlined the popularity of the show. Further growth of the show, both as a broadcast property and as a licensed property, is planned.
