Cottage Door Press, the fast-growing independent publisher of high-quality children’s books, has been tapped by Edutainment Licensing and The ThinkTank Emporium, the sub agent for the brand in North America, to develop a range of board, story, and activity books for PANDA PANDA.
Developed by industry veterans, Mona Koth, PANDA PANDA is a unique, new property that specifically supports the rapid development of children from birth to 3 years. Young children will delight in meeting the brother and sister panda twins, Dot and Beau, who will introduce young readers to their exciting new world – new faces, foods, feelings, animals and much more.
The first four titles in the PANDA PANDA line are set for a soft ecommerce-based launch in Fall 2019 and will roll out to major retailers including bookstores, warehouse clubs, and specialty outlets throughout North America in the Spring of 2020. Beyond the initial launch, more PANDA PANDA books will be released in varying formats and content.
“Dot & Beau had us at “hello”! The characters created by Mona are adorable and empathetic—helping little ones tackle social emotional situations and early learning concepts. There is a lot of learning happening as a child grows from babyhood to preschooler and we’re thrilled have Dot & Beau as cheerful, curious guides on the journey,” said Melissa Tigges, Director of Marketing and Partnerships for Cottage Door Press.
“Cottage Door Press is a great partner for PANDA PANDA as their reputation for developing smart, fresh, and innovative content, and reading is learning philosophy fits perfectly with our mission,” said Denise Deane of Edutainment Licensing.
