See you next November.
The 6th China Shanghai International Children’s Book Fair’s (CCBF) has now ended for this year and with great success reported from visitors and publishers who attended the fair.
This edition, the first co-organized by BolognaFiere, brought together 367 exhibitors and 33,796 visitors from all over the world into an exhibiting area of nearly 20 000 square metres: not just a marketplace for the rights exchange but also an unmissable occasion for the international children’s publishing community to gather together in order to share, debate and discuss new ideas and future perspectives of the publishing market.
All the exhibitors noted how CCBF had added “Bologna flair”, with the brand new lounges, the digital and licensing areas, the special activities of the Illustrators Survival Corner and a wide line-up of events.
“A big step forward in understanding the children’s book market”; “CCBF has the potential to become the Bologna of the Far East”; “A place for professional dialogue between representatives of different international institutions focused on publishing children’s books”: these are just some of the exhibitors’ comments.
