Endemol Shine Group further extend Simon’s Cat global brand licensing

Global content creator, producer and distributor, Endemol Shine Group, announced the latest global licensing deals for animated hit Simon’s Cat, as the brand extends its licensing programme in multiple territories.

Endemol Shine Group have entered an agreement with German textiles and accessories specialists License Factory to manufacture and distribute Simon’s Cat apparel, accessories and home textiles in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Simon’s Cat have also partnered with leading European e-commerce platform Not Like You for a premium line of customised Converse chucks and Timberland boots. The brand continues to grow in popularity in the region as demonstrated by their nomination for the Newcomer of the Year award in this year’s 2018 LIMA Awards Germany.

In the UK Simon’s Cat have partnered with the UK’s No. 1 in licensed greetings, Gemma, to launch Simon’s Cat greeting cards and gift packaging. The range from Studio By Gemma will debut in Q4 this year. In addition, customised giftware specialists Star Editions will be releasing a limited edition customisable plush range before the end of the year which will be available via the official Simon’s Cat webshop.

Leading designer and developer of licensed apparel, Park Agencies, continues to work with Primark on a selection of fun Simon’s Cat designs for ladies’ t-shirts, loungewear and socks to be sold in stores across the UK, Holland, Germany, Belgium and Austria. In the U.S. Endemol Shine North America have appointed calendar licensee Willow Creek Press to develop a line of Simon’s Cat calendars for 2020, 2021 and 2022, and Endemol Shine China are developing a series of shopping mall events for the brand with local agent Block 12.

Simon’s Cat is celebrating its 10th Anniversary this year, marking a decade since its launch on YouTube. The brand proves hugely popular across a number of areas including gaming, publishing and apparel. Recent successes include over 80million digital sticker downloads and in excess of 11million downloads of the brand’s mobile gaming titles from developers Tactile Games and Good Catch, with further titles in development for 2019. Simon’s Cat mobile games have also been nominated for three awards at this year’s TIGA Games Industry Awards.

Endemol Shine Group will be showcasing a number of properties from across their portfolio, including Simon’s Cat at this year’s BLE, Stand: National Hall – E100. On Tuesday 9th October, Endemol Shine Group will be hosting drinks and a live drawing session at their stand to celebrate Simon’s Cat’s 10th birthday this year. Simon Tofield, the award-winning animator and Simon’s Cat creator, will be hosting a personalised drawing session create one-of-a-kind bespoke illustrations for visitors.
