DQE signs with Chiliad Procons to launch Jungle Book theme parks in India

28 May - 2018

The first project aka The Jungle Book TV series would be the franchise’s first global expansion via India that will debut in Mumbai in 2018, Delhi in 2019 and further expand across major metro cities over the next few years.

DQ Entertainment (DQE), one of the world’s leading international producers and distributors of children’s animated content, has signed an exclusive indoor theme park deal with CHILIAD PROCONS, an Indian leader in the amusement industry space, at the Las Vegas Licensing Show, to open multiple indoor themed parks around DQE’s IPs such as the Jungle Book, Peter Pan and Robinhood across the Indian nation.

The first project aka The Jungle Book TV series would be the franchise’s first global expansion via India that will debut in Mumbai in 2018, Delhi in 2019 and further expand across major metro cities over the next few years. The Park will have a unique touch to it: its rides would be mostly inspired by The Jungle Book tales and its culture. It’s as close as India gets to a Disneyland equivalent.

As part of this experience, kids will enter a wonderful realm of the series packed with characters such as Mowgli, Baloo, Bhageera and Sher Khan. Simulating its environments, children will be able to circumstance iconic moments like a flying experience, connecting bridges to escape through the jungle, life size elephants and a signature light and sound show to emphasize the beauty of jungle. DQE is working closely with the creative teams behind Chiliad’s blockbuster theme park attractions to bring the characters, action and bring adventure of the popular TV series to life within the theme parks.

Manoj Mishra, COO DQE Group commented, “The theme parks being developed by Chiliad Procons will be an entertainment destination for kids and family to experience the world of their favourite Jungle Book characters. All of the adventure, fun and action kids experience through a screen will now be all around them soon – in breathtakingly realistic Jungle ways. We are excited to partner with Chiliad in this endeavour and expect this theme park agreement to significantly boost our other licensing & merchandising efforts worldwide and anticipate this as a step forward in creating immense opportunities and value to us. “

Tapaas Chakravarti, MD & CEO DQE Group said, “The Jungle Book has succeeded in creating a large fan following among kids across the world and this new partnership with Chiliad Procons will take Mowgli and his jungle friends come close to kids and family in India through their indoor theme-based parks.”

Prasuk Jain, MD, Chiliad Procons opined, “We believe India is now growing in international influence and gaining a prominent voice in global entertainment and tourism, thanks to positive demographic factors within the Indian diaspora. We are happy to invest in such properties that in turn serve as a landmark for visitors from around the world! To accomplish such vision, we are excited to partner with DQE to introduce Jungle Book, an indoor park which we believe India needs and is waiting for. It will house all factors of adrenaline rush, a themed restaurant and much more to keep them alive  and visitors experience something beyond their wildest imagination. The Jungle book has been growing in popularity with fans around the globe and so are family fans, which are the key component of Chiliad Procons FEC’s. This collaboration will create a new entertainment powerhouse of passion and talent that will craft epic, imaginative experiences allowing a new exposure to the company for more associations to come.”
