Sinking Ship Entertainment Heads to Licensing Expo With New Partners

22 May - 2018

Leading kids’ media company Sinking Ship Entertainment is pleased to announce the addition of new partners for their premiere kids’ brands ODD SQUAD and DINO DANA.

ODD SQUAD, co-produced by Sinking Ship Entertainment and The Fred Rogers Company for TVO in Canada and PBS in the United States, is a popular math comedy series that also airs worldwide with broadcasters like the BBC in the UK, ki.ka in Germany, and the ABC in Australia. DINO DANA is a dinosaur adventure series produced by Sinking Ship for TVO and Amazon Prime, and will be launching its second season next week on Amazon in the US and UK.

The DAPR Consulting Group is on board to shepherd both brands’ retail presence on Amazon and help build the licensing program in the US. Principals Debbie Ries and Patricia Ries have substantial experience in the consumer product world, including Shopkins and We’re Going on a Bear Hunt.

Additionally, Licensing Management International (LMI) has signed with Sinking Ship as its licensing agent in Europe for the ODD SQUAD brand. LMI will be apprising key retailers of the success of the Odd Squad series on CBBC as well as liaising with key partners in specialist toy, gift, publishing, apparel and accessories product categories in Europe. This will capitalise on the success of this show across Europe.

We are thrilled to be working with DAPR and LMI” says Kate Sanagan, Co-Head of Sales and Distribution at Sinking Ship. “We are confident that both DAPR and LMI’s experience and breadth of knowledge of licensing and consumer products will help to grow the DINO DANA DANA and ODD SQUAD brands respectively.

Sinking Ship is heading into a busy Licensing Expo. Bravado, the Canadian licensing agent for ODD SQUAD also recently inked new licensing deals with Omni Consumer Products Inc. (OCPI) and Trends International. OCPI will act as Odd Squad’s apparel licensee, covering all categories of apparel and accessories from t-shirts to hats. Trends International will serve as Odd Squad’s poster partner. Bravado will be meeting with other prospective licensees at Expo next week. DAPR will be at the PBS Booth #G214 on Sinking Ship’s behalf.
