Following the success of last Bologna Licensing Trade Fair, Las Vegas Licensing Expo is a new opportunity for CPLG to consolidate the current programs and unveil the new plans for 2018/2019.
CPLG represents important intellectual properties ranging from the entertainment world to that of lifestyle and classic brands.
Among the entertainment properties, the main notes are the following: L.O.L. SURPRISE! by MGA Entertainment that continues its unstoppable success worldwide, confirming to be the best-selling toy according to NPD data all over the world! Several launches are scheduled for 2018 and equally rich is the licensing program that is rapidly taking shape, with a product roll-out planned for Spring 2018.
Another property coming from the toy world is HATCHIMALS, the franchise born from the innovative interactive egg of Spin Master, which was followed in May 2017 the launch of the “CollEGGtibles”, collectible mini-figurines. Among the novelties of 2018 new assortments of CollEGGtibles, the new Hatchimals egg that will be revealed to the young public in October 2018 during “Hatching Day” and by Fabbri Editore through the first publishing releases.
For the little ones HEY DUGGEE, the BBC preschool educational series of BBC WorldWide, continues to expand its licensees range. Chicco is the Master Toy Partner for Italy for the plush line. The second season of the series is on air both on Cartoonito and on DeAJunior and among the novelties of 2018 the official Italian Youtube channel and Clementoni will launch a line of educational games.
Finally, it is important to report theatrical news, such as the three films coming soon as HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA 3 by Sony Pictures Animation, AMUSEMENT PARK by Paramount Pictures and UGLYDOLLS by STX Entertainment.
After the success of the first two releases, the third sequel of the animated franchise, “Hotel Transylvania 3 – A Monstrous Holiday”, is in fact arriving on August 22, 2018, which joins the TV series on the Disney Channel since Autumn 2017. Grandi Giochi will distribute in Italy the toy line made of figurines, playset and plush. Soon released also the video game scheduled for Summer 2018.
The Uglydolls were born 16 years ago from the imagination of a couple of illustrators. Uglydolls is a “fan-driven” property, grown through important partnerships and since May 2018 it will become a fun animated film and, to follow a television series. Uglydolls spread a message of universal acceptance and tolerance: “ugly is beautiful”! Hasbro will be the Master Toy Partner.
Moving instead to the lifestyle world, the iconic YALE brand has entered into the CPLG portfolio, which has recently been the protagonist of important high street partnerships like the one with Urban Outfitters, Forever 21 and Zara.
The licensing program of PARENTAL ADVISORY continues, another lifestyle brand that has inspired numerous fashion collaborations such as H & M, Primark, Asose and Italian Brands. His logo was recently used also on Gucci’s invitation for the FW ’18/19 fashion show.
Finally, the success of classic brands are confirmed as well as FELIX THE CAT and PINK PANTHER, true fashion icons, source of inspiration for HALO projects.
FELIX THE CAT has been the protagonist of prestigious collaborations like the one with Coach, Scotch & Soda, Fyodor Golan, Alessandro Enriquez and the very latest Mango Kids and will celebrate its 100th anniversary next year!
Even PINK PANTHER continues its path of success in fashion! After the approval of the first collection, Pinko launched a new SS ’18 capsule for women, available in Pinko stores starting since January 2018.
