Recent deals signed with Paragon Creative and Immersive Rides.
ITV Studios Global Entertainment (ITVS GE) announces some exciting deals in the Experiential and Direct-to-Consumer categories for kids property Thunderbirds Are Go.
The action-packed series, with its brand new third season currently airing on CITV/ITV, lends itself brilliantly to the Experiential category. It is trusted and loved by fans the world over, and provides creative scope for original, enthralling entertainment. The huge range of settings in Thunderbirds Are Go – outer space, deep underwater, on land anywhere in the world – allows for endless possibilities in the experiential world for stunning scenery, original storylines and wondrous special effects.
Paragon Creative, one of the world’s leading design development and build companies, will develop themed attractions and experiences for Thunderbirds Are Go. Paragon has experience in more than 26 countries building attractions for museums, heritage centres, aquariums, science centres, theme parks, interpretation centres, stately homes, nightclubs and more. Examples of their work include a Wallace & Gromit ride at Blackpool Pleasure Beach, the Titanic Experience in Belfast, and the Coronation Street Tour. Initial concepts for the Thunderbirds Are Go experiential attraction put guests at the heart of the experience, by asking ‘Can YOU be the next Thunderbird? International Rescue is recruiting!’
Immersive Rides create Revolutionary Ride Systems for the attraction and entertainment sectors, and have developed a Dark Ride System for a Thunderbirds Are Go attraction. The concept is built around a customisable ride, in which there are 7 unique options to choose from, each including a particular Thunderbird vehicle. Ride guests will enjoy the immersive pre-ride show, then select their own Thunderbird character and vehicle in order to start their personal mission. The Dark Ride will use the latest technology in Interactive Mapping Screens to provide guests with a mind-blowing experience personally chosen by them.
Trudi Hayward, SVP Global Head of Merchandise at ITVS GE, says: “Direct-to-Consumer is a key component of ITVS GE’s strategy and we are very excited to welcome on board two important players in this category. Thunderbirds Are Go lends itself perfectly to experiential family activities and we look forward to seeing these in action.”
Even more exciting deals for Thunderbirds and Thunderbirds Are Go in the Experiential and Direct-to-Consumer categories are in the pipeline and will be announced shortly.
