Smiley & Unilever spread happiness with cross product promotion at Carrefour

Smiley teamed up with FMCG powerhouse Unilever to create an exciting retail promotion this winter and the results saw 100,000 SmileyWorld mug sets distributed to happy Carrefour customers in a 2 week period.

The promotion rewarded customers who purchased over 15€ of across the range of Unilever products with a special SmileyWorld gift.  Featuring a specially designed giveaway set of 2 Smiley mugs, the promotion launched in 45 Carrefour Hypermaket and 450 Carrefour Market stores across Europe.

The loyalty promotion was created in partnership with top European promotional agency Xpect and spanned a two-week period.  It was activated at retail with an exciting in-store POS campaign featuring posters, banderoles, top-card displays, cubes and pallet corners.

With loyal Carrefour & Unilever customers taking home 200,000 bespoke SmileyWorld mugs during the promotional period, the campaign proved extremely successful with consumers and served to further highlight how Smiley continues to be a first class licensed promotions partner.
