Xilam takes a new step towards a stronger organisation to accommodate growth: three promotions in the Production Department.
To accommodate its robust business expansion, with the goal of delivering more than 100 half-hour shows by 2020, Xilam has announced the appointment of Dorothée Lanchier as Chief Operating Officer (COO), Camille Wiplier as Deputy COO and Marie-Laurence Turpin as Head of Development and Talent Management.
In her new position, Dorothée Lanchier will run all of production, including overseeing all production processes, and the workload schedule of the various production units. All Line Producers and Studio Executives will report to her.
Dorothée Lanchier has more than 15 years’ experience as a Line Producer and Production Manager. She has worked at companies such as Moonscop and on hit series including Casper, Code Lyoko Evolution and Tara Duncan, and more recently at Ellipsanime, a subsidiary of Dargaud Group where she was in charge of 3D series Yakari and Boule and Bill. In her most recent position as Line Producer at Xilam, she successfully produced several shows including Season 5 of the flagship show: Oggy and the Cockroaches. As COO, she will report directly to the CEO of Xilam.
Dorothée will be backed by Camille Wiplier, Head of Xilam Studios since 2011, who has now been appointed as Deputy COO. With a twin engineering degree in New Information and Communication Technologies (Centrale Lyon) and a BA in production management (Ecole des Gobelins), her advanced skills in the field of operational and financial management of studios, coupled with her experience with the Group (having worked at Xilam since 2007), are sure to be decisive factors in the growth of the entire production chain.
In addition, Marie-Laurence Turpin has been promoted to Head of Development and Talent Management. As a Line Producer at Xilam since 2007, Marie-Laurence contributed significantly to the production and development of several Xilam shows as well as feature films such as Go West! A Lucky Luke Adventure and Oggy & the Cockroaches – The Movie. Marie-Laurence has already demonstrated her development skills, but in her new role she will be also be responsible for the strategic duty of research and internal/external talent management. She will report to the CEO of Xilam.
Jean Brune will maintain all of his development and production prerogatives as Xilam’s Editorial Executive.
Marc du Pontavice, CEO of Xilam, issued the following statement on the move to strengthen the Group’s organisation: “Our Group is moving forward with its transformation: these promotions are part and parcel of our expansion, while drawing whenever possible on the Group’s internal resources. Especially those that have contributed to our success thus far. Furthermore, I would like to personally outline the unique career paths forged by those three women at the company, entrusted with the highest duties.”
