Alexandre Hénin takes on dual role as Head of Acquisitions and Creative Producer.
Leading Premium Content Distributor Federation Kids & Family has responded to its rapid growth with a raft of new appointments including the hiring of former France Télévisions kids acquisition exec, Alexandre Henin.
Alexandre Henin has come on board in a dual role: first, as Head of Acquisitions, Federation Kids & Family, a kids distribution division of Federation Entertainment. And secondly: as Creative Producer at Federation’s sister production company Cottonwood Media. Alexandre will report to David Michel (President, Cottonwood Media and Head of Federation Kids & Family). His primary role will be to source and invest in new childrens’ content both for co-production and acquisitions, of animated as well as live-action properties.
Hénin started his career at Nickelodeon France (Viacom) in 2005, working on the launch of the new channel that year. In his position as programming manager, Henin was responsible for launching Nickelodeon’s flagship series on their satellite and digital platforms, as well as Viacom’s 2nd channel in the territory, Nickelodeon Junior France. In 2012 Henin joined France Télévisions as Program Executive in charge of Acquisitions for kids programming. As such he contributed to the editorial choice of kids programming on France 3, France 4 and France 5, as well as YA product on their digital channels.
The new staff appointments have come in the wake of the rapid growth of FEDERATION KIDS & FAMILY, and its sister company, premium kids content producer COTTONWOOD MEDIA, founded by David Michel, Cécile Lauritano and Zoé Carrera Allaix. Three years since its launch, COTTONWOOD MEDIA has two animated series in production, Ollie & Moon and Squish, as well as Find me in Paris, a prestigious teen drama produced in partnership with Paris Opera, ZDF and ZDF Enterprises; as well as an ambitious development slate with more animation, feature films and live action. Other staff promotions that have come as a result of this growth, specifically in the area of sales include: Monica Levy (Head of International Sales & Co-Productions for Kids and Family) and Sarah Zarka (Sales Executive).
