Imira Entertainment, one of the world’s leading distribution companies of premium kids & family content, has sealed a key sales distribution deal with Disney XD across all Latam territories for all four seasons of the comedy series Larva.
Imira has closed an important pan-Latam deal for the series Larva, about two comical worm-like creatures who get into all sorts of adventures, causing chaos wherever they go. The deal is for the Pay TV Disney XD channel.
The deal is for all four seasons of the Korean Studio Tuba’s global sensation: Season 1 (104×2’) where the comic duo lives in the drains; Season 2 (52×4’) where they adventure out of the gutter and into an urban house; Season 3 (104×2’) where they visit New York; and season 4 (26×7’) where they find themselves stranded on a tropical island.
Imira Entertainment’s CEO Sergi Reitg adds “Imira is proud to distribute Larva, a successful short-format series. After many years of representing Larva we have seen it grow and grow and now are delighted for this to be broadcast on Disney XD and are sure it will work very well for them.”

Larva has been broadcasting successfully in more than 150 countries since 2012 and the number of views from new media platforms around the world, and in China where there is much growth, is now over 25 billion and still rapidly growing.
LARVA The Movie is in production and will be a 90-minute-long feature film and on a much bigger scale. The film is set to release worldwide in 2019.
The IP has proved very popular off the screen as well, with more than 1,000 SKU of consumer products having been developed since 2012 by over 100 licensees mostly in Asia, and now Larva is looking for their debut in North America and Latin America in 2018.
