New appointee is a valuable addition to the JELC team at a time of continuing growth.

Jane Evans, founder and MD of global licensing company JELC, has announced the appointment of Julie Michell as director and business partner.

Julie will bring to the role more than two decades of industry and commercial experience across many areas of licensing and branding, most recently for greeting cards giant Hallmark.

Julie worked for Hallmark for over 10 years, initially heading up the commercial side of Hallmark’s UK licensing-out business, and more recently as Senior Licensing Manager (International). Before this she held senior positions for a number of major names including Carte Blanche Greetings, Nici and Vivendi. She brings over 25 years’ in sales and marketing, as well as a wealth of experience as both a licensor and licensee, to her new post.

Jane Evans says: “As we look forward to continuing growth this is a significant period for JELC, and one that requires a team with the ability to manage the demands of an increasingly busy operation. Julie’s experience will be a valuable addition to the company and in helping future growth. We’re delighted to welcome her to JELC.

Julie Michell adds: “JELC has an excellent reputation in the industry, and one that is entirely deserved. It’s not only based on JELC’s fantastic portfolio of brands, but on the amazing work they have done promoting and licensing them. This is an exciting time for an exciting agency and I’m looking forward enormously to being a part of it.
