MTV are enhancing the annual movie award ceremony by including TV series’ in the event, which will take place at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on Sunday 7th May this year.
After 25 years, MTV have announced the new “MTV Movie & TV Awards” that will begin this year. The event that celebrates films and the Hollywood stars that are most loved by youngsters, is all set to add TV series’ to the mix for 2017. This year, the event takes place on Sunday 7th May at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California.
The presenter, nominations, performers and award presenters will be announced nearer the time. “We are living in the ‘golden age’ of content, great stories and characters are successful whether they are on TV or in movies” said Chris McCarthy, president of MTV. “The new MTV Movie & TV Awards will celebrate more films than ever not to mention the most fun, courageous and brilliant TV shows of the moment that are most shared amongst youngsters.”
Moreover, in the run up to the great event that takes place on 7th May, fans can participate in the “Movie & Television Festival”. Live music performances, special guests and food transform the external area of the Shrine Auditorium into a grand party that will last a whole day. The afternoon will give fans the opportunity to win a special place to assist celebrities in their arrival to the red carpet for the evening’s event. Details of tickets and the artists that are set to perform will be communicated at a later date.
Casey Patterson is the executive producer for the second year running, together with Garret English, for the brand new “MTV Movie & TV Awards 2017”.
