Bologna Licensing Award

At the occasion of the 10th edition of the Bologna Licensing Trade Fair, BolognaFiere has established the first licensing award in Italy, the Bologna Licensing Award. Four awards aimed exclusively for the event’s exhibitors, focused on the best licensing program developed in the years 2015 – 2016 and covering the categories PRE-SCHOOL, KIDS, ADULT and TEEN. The awards will be announced on the eve of the event and they will be presented during a ceremony on the first evening of the show. The prize will consist, in addition to a certificate, of the possibility of having a showcase at the entrance of the fair, in order to present the award-winning products.

To define the winners, there will be a panel of industry experts, as follows: Ivan Colecchia, General Manager Europe Kidz Global; Armando Garosci, Journalist and Responsible of Special Projects, Largo Consumo; Daniela Di Maio, Kids Entertainment Expert; Roberta Nebbia, Italian LIMA Representing Office (Licensors and Merchandisers Association), Francesca AshPublisher, Total Licensing Ltd.

Here it is a brief introduction to the experts of the first Bologna Licensing Award Jury.

Ivan Colecchia

Ivan Colecchia Is General Manager Europe of Kidz Global. A quantitative market research and consulting services specializing in children, teens and families orientated to consumer markets, covering 42 countries in all continents. These researches are applied across an array of industry segments dealing with children orientated consumer products, including but not limited to Licensing, Toys & games, Video-Games, Entertainment and Education. Prior to join Kidz Global in 2011, Ivan has had over 20 years experience in market research, covering many areas from Kids to FMGC, Sports, Beauty, Restaurants. He is an appreciated expert in Licensing and Kids business worldwide, and he is frequently asked to speak at licensing and kids conferences.

 

 

Armando Garosci

Journalist trained in economic history at the faculty of Political Science at the Milan State University, he holds particular interest in the dynamic relationship between the consumer goods supply industries of food and non food, all channels of modern distribution and restoration, and the systems and services that are linked with them. Actually he works for the Italian leading trade magazine, Largo Consumo.

 

 

 

Daniela Di Maio

With much experience in the media industry, Daniela Di Maio is a consultant that holds focus on the creation, development and planning of IPs under the kids and family target. Until February 2016, Daniela was the director of Nickelodeon Italia for 7 years. She was responsible for the editorial development of the brand, taking care of the growth and positioning of the portfolio of new channels and the digital offer. Daniela looked after the cross-media development of the main Nickelodeon properties. During the 9 years before hand, she was resonsible for programming and purchasing with MTV and, before this, was the director of research at the Disney Channel.

 

Roberta Nebbia

After earning her degree in Bocconi, she began her experience in the licensing sector in the year 2000 when she was taken on by the licensing division of the Ferrero Group, a division that she led until 2005.

The consultancy company, Licensing Italia, of which she is the Managing Director, opened in 2006 holding focus on licensing.

Since 2011, Licensing Italia has been the LIMA (Licensing Industry Merchandisers’ Association) Representing Office in Italy.

 

 

Francesca Ash

Francesca Ash is the founder and co-publisher of Total Licensing Ltd. Publishing global magazines covering every area of licensing, from characters and entertainment to brands, sports, celebrity, art and more, the magazines are read by 84,000 people in 105 countries.

Prior to founding Total Licensing in 2003, Francesca has had many years of experience in the licensing industry, and is considered an expert in the business. As well as publishing the magazines Total Licensing, Total Brand Licensing, Total Art Licensing, Total Licensing Australia and Total Licensing UK, she is often asked to speak at seminars around the globe, offering her expertise and insights into the licensing industry.
