Asterix and Obelix are set to return on 19th October 2017 to live out Jean-Yves Ferri and Didier Conrad’s signature adventures.
And so, from the heart of Armorica, the time has come to exclusively announce the return with a new year full of Gaulish goodies! Save The Date on your calendar!
This fantASTERIX year will see Albert Uderzo’s 90th birthday and the 40th anniversary of the death of René Goscinny, with exhibitions and tributes… our favourite Gauls are set to return with the 37th issue of the comic, available throughout Gaul and beyond.
This 37th issue marks the third collaboration of the duo, created by Jean-Yves Ferri and (writer) and Didier Conrad (illustrator), after Asterix and the Pitti in 2013 and Asterix and the Missing Scrolls in 2015. ALl under the watching eye of Albert Uderzo, naturally, co-creator of the largest global success in French publishing, with around 370 million comic books sold in 110 languages and dialects.
The winning team must not be changed! And nor do traditions be tampered with. “Even if we can not unravel the core of action, we can still reveal that we are looking at a trip abroad just as tradition would have it! After being left in Gaul with the Missing Scrolls, this time around readers will embark upon an adventure that goes beyond all borders! Scheduled: visits to historical monuments, gastronomic discoveries and meetings with the autochthonous and celebrity. Ready to go? Then fasten your seatbelts!” declared Jean-Yves Ferri and Didier Conrad. Adventure, humour, hilarious characters and daring situations that never end are the main ingredients for this new Asterix and Obelix adventure, a great classic to enjoy with the family.
The protagonist of the adventure number 37 is not at all who we would predict, as the board exclusively suggests today. Another clue from the generous Ferri and Conrad!
