YOOX and The Walt Disney Company EMEA have had the pleasure of announcing today’s launch of their first online fashion and lifestyle store, on YOOX.

Accessible from the homepage, Disney’s digital shop window on YOOX foresees the latest collections as protagonists; Clothing, accessories, shoes and design items are created by various brands and inspired by Disney, Disney•Pixar, Star Wars and Marvel.

The collaborations, present in the dedicated online area, are many: from the famous Olympia Le Tan clutch bags that star characters and atmospheres from Alice in Wonderland, to Kenzo sweatshirts, which star characters from The Jungle Book, colourful Disney-Pixar’s Toy Story shoes by Vans, not to mention watches by Nixon that are dedicated to Star Wars – only to name a few. The Disney area on YOOX is set to be the shop window for Disney publishing content that celebrates the magic world of Disney, the winning Star Wars stories and the Marvel narrative epics.

Over the last 70 years, the Disney world, Star Wars stories and Marvel have influenced pop culture of all generations through iconic characters. Becoming a fountain of inspiration for many fashion and lifestyle brands, they were lead to interpret and incorporate Disney images into their collections.

Today, YOOX is the digital shop window through which users can explore the exclusive creations.

YOOX is the online lifestyle store that is a leader in the world of fashion, design and art, and has always given life to unusual synergies, both creative and non-conventional, aiming to surprise customers and to play a key role in the relationship with new generations and the world of e-commerce.

“Disney’s imagination was of great inspiration when I created YOOX in 1999, and it is therefore an enormous pleasure for me to combine the timeless brand with the innovative spirit of YOOX, passing more enjoyment to our customers with continuous creativity and products that are hard to find elsewhere” said Federico Marchetti, founder of YOOX and Delegated Administrator of YOOX NET-A-PORTER GROUP.

At Disney, we love to break the rules, creating innovative and unpredictable designs that make the fine line between art and conventional products less clear, bringing creativity to a completely new level!” declared Francesca Romana Gianesin, Vice President of Fashion & Lifestyle, The Walt Disney Company EMEA. “Our collaboration with YOOX is based upon the Disney strategy, that puts “the customer in the centre” combined with the knowledge and information that we have on the adult consumer, not to mention on how they approach Disney and the world of fashion. We know what the target wants and we respond by giving the customer the product that they want, when they want. At the same time, we are sure that the Disney collections will be surprising enough to conquer YOOX customers, and we are happy to sprinkle a little Disney magic on their lives”.

“YOOX has always been known as the foregoer of the concept of capsule collection, and this partnership represents an ulterior evolution in this sense, as we offer our customers the possibility to switch on to fashion and lifestyle collaborations that are truly special. We are proud of this new aim, taking part in the fantastic trip that Federico begun 17 years ago and that continues to fly at an incredible speed”, said  Luca Martines, Off-Season President (YOOX and THE OUTNET) of YOOX NET-A-PORTER GROUP.

Over the next few months, YOOX is set to launch new enthusiastic Disney collections inside the dedicated area, including items that are relative to the international launches of upcoming films.
