Barbie Global Beauty exclusively on sale with YOOX

The 20 One-Of-A-Kind Barbies, fruit of the collaboration between Vogue Talents and Mattel, are finally on sale, exclusively on YOOX.

It is reductive to describe Barbie as the most famous doll in the world. Barbie is a global icon, absolutely unmatched for her versatility. From 2016 4 different body shapes of Barbie are available: original, curvy, petite and tall, 7 different skin tones, 22 different eye colours and 24 different hairstyles.

Beginning with Barbie’s unique charm and at the same time versatility, the doll was interpreted by 20 designers that remade her according to their identities. The most fashionable doll encountered the strongest of personalities in the world of fashion, as they tailormade her look not forgetting makeup and styling.

The most prominent designers on the international scene designed exclusive looks for BArbie, complete with accessories to express the infinite approaches to beauty and fashion. The creative team in the Design Centre of Mattel along with El Seguendo, transformed the dream into reality, producing 20 dolls in unique editions, one for each designer that had participated in the project.

An now, for the joy of collectors and fashion addicted the 20 Barbies are finally available and on sale exclusively on YOOX – the proceeds of the sales from the 20 Barbies will go to supporting FAI (Fondo Ambiente Italiano), who are working towards the reconstruction of the Oratory of the Madonna of the Sun in the hamlet of Capodacqua di Arquata del Tronto, the area that was stricken by the earthquakes on 24th August 2016.

The 10 successful designers are: Aquilano Raimondi, Simone Rocha, Stella Jean, Au jour le jour, MSGM, Paula Cademartori, Gabriele Colangelo, Marco de Vincenzo, Paul Andrew, Max Kibardin. The ten promises: Coliac, Arthur Arbesser, Giancarlo Petriglia, “COMEFORBREAKFAST”, Tak.Ori, Leitmotiv, CO/TE, Daizy Shely, Angelos Bratis, Piccione.Piccione.
